To inherit and maintain a long folk traditional arts in Vietnam , Circus has developed constantly for many years with many genres such as : Acrobatics, Balancing, Magics, animal taming, Clowns …. Lot of professional circus troupes namely Vietnam Circus Federation, Hanoi Circus troupe, Ho Chi Minh City Troupe, Long An City Troupe. … and many privately owned troupes.. and state owned circus owned circus school have come a long with the time. Annually, Vietnamese artists have performed in many foreign countries . Many of them have been awarded the best title : ‘ People’s artists’, ‘excellent artists’, ‘talented artists’..
Vietnam Circus Federation was established on January the 16th, 1956 led by The Late leader Ta Duy Hien. In the early time the troupe did not have many artists. Spending more than 50 years Vietnam Circus Federation has grown strongly with a lager number of artists who have performed successfully in Vietnam and many other countries in the world.
The second International Circus Festival in Vietnam has given a great opportunity to Vietnamese artists to enhance the relationship with many other circus agents in foreign countries, to improve the knowledge of the world’s Circus Art, to exchange experience as well as cultures.
We are strongly confident that Circus Art in Vietnam has been developed with its own characteristics in the globalization process.
